BOOKING AND SAFETY CONDITIONS
Apparan Elämyskeskus Oy (”Appara”)
These terms of service, booking and safety conditions apply to the services provided by Apparan Elämyskeskus Oy (hereinafter the “Service Provider”), including the public sauna, adventure park and outdoor pool area, as well as related bookings, tickets and events.
By making a reservation, purchasing a ticket or using the Service Provider’s facilities and services, the customer agrees to comply with these terms.
1. Use of Services and Bookings
Reservations and admission tickets for the Service Provider’s services can be made and purchased via the website (www.appara.fi) or through other separately announced channels.
A booking or purchase made by the customer becomes binding once an order or payment confirmation has been sent to the email address provided by the customer. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide.
Late arrival does not entitle the customer to a refund or an extension of the booked time.
2. Prices and Payment
All prices include value-added tax (VAT) unless otherwise stated.
The Service Provider reserves the right to change prices and service contents.
Payments are made using the payment methods available in the online store. The Service Provider does not store bank or credit card details.
Invoicing may be offered to corporate and group customers based on a separate agreement.
The available payment methods in the online store depend on which payment methods and payment service providers the Service Provider has enabled.
Paytrail
By selecting Online Payment as the payment method in the online store, you gain access to the payment methods provided by Paytrail. The payment mediation service is provided by Paytrail Oyj (Business ID 2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions.
Paytrail Oyj will appear as the recipient of the payment on your bank statement or card invoice and will forward the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj holds a payment institution license.
In the event of complaints, please primarily contact the service or product provider.

By providing information at checkout, you accept Paytrail Oyj’s payment service terms. By clicking the “Buy” button, you accept the Service Provider’s general terms.
Stripe
By selecting card payments, Google Pay or Apple Pay as the payment method in the online store, Stripe acts as the payment service provider, and you accept Stripe’s payment service terms as well as the Service Provider’s general terms.
Employee Benefits
Orders can be paid using ePassi or Smartum, provided that the Service Provider has enabled these payment methods.
Order and Payment Confirmation
Once we have received your order, we will immediately send you an order confirmation by email showing your order details.
Always check the contents of the order confirmation. If you have any questions, contact the Service Provider immediately.
Delivery Terms
After payment, you will receive a booking confirmation by email along with a personal PIN code for sauna access control.
3. Cancellations and Changes
Purchased sauna tickets are non-refundable. However, the person who made the booking may transfer the purchased ticket(s) to another person or to another time. Notification of the transfer must be sent at least 24 hours before the start of the session to info@appara.fi.
I want to transfer my session:
Cancel your session in the booking system at least 24 hours before the start time. Send an email to info@appara.fi stating when your original session was scheduled and arrange a transfer to another time.
I want to transfer my session to another person:
Send an email to info@appara.fi with the contact details of the person to whom you are transferring your session.
4. Service Provider’s Right to Cancel or Interrupt the Service
The Service Provider has the right to cancel or interrupt the service if it cannot be carried out safely due to, for example:
- weather conditions
- technical failures
- authority regulations
- or other force majeure events
In force majeure situations, the customer is not entitled to compensation for indirect costs. The Service Provider will primarily seek to offer an alternative time.
5. Age Limits, Swimming Skills and Guardian Responsibility
Outdoor Pool Area
- Customers must have sufficient swimming skills.
- Children under 12 years of age are allowed only under the supervision of an adult guardian.
Adventure Park
- Customers must meet the activity-specific height, age and health requirements.
- Minors may participate only with guardian consent and by following instructions.
Sauna
- The sauna is intended for customers in normal health.
- Customers are responsible for their own well-being and adequate hydration.
6. Safety and Customer Obligations
The customer:
- uses the services at their own risk
- follows the instructions and safety regulations given by staff
- uses the required safety equipment
7. Liability and Insurance
The Service Provider’s services do not include accident insurance. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have adequate insurance coverage.
The Service Provider is not liable for personal injury or property damage unless caused by the Service Provider’s gross negligence.
The Service Provider is not responsible for customers’ belongings in the facilities or their surroundings.
8. Damage and Cleanliness
The customer is obliged to compensate the Service Provider for any damage caused by the customer or their group to the premises, structures or equipment.
Facilities and equipment must be used appropriately and left in a clean condition.
9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Any complaints must be made immediately on-site or in writing within a reasonable time.
If the matter cannot be resolved by agreement, the consumer may refer the case to the Consumer Disputes Board.
10. Validity of the Terms
These terms of service, booking and safety conditions are valid until further notice.
The Service Provider reserves the right to amend the terms. The currently valid terms are available on the website.
11. Breach of Contract and Consequences
If the customer or their group acts in violation of these terms, the Service Provider has the right to:
- immediately remove the customer or the entire group from the premises
- deny access to Apparan Elämyskeskus services in the future, either temporarily or permanently
- charge a contractual penalty or supervision fee
- charge full compensation for damages caused
The contractual penalty or supervision fee is EUR 100–500 depending on the severity of the violation, unless otherwise stated below. Payment of a contractual penalty does not remove the Service Provider’s right to claim compensation for actual damages.
The contractual penalty or supervision fee may be charged on-site or invoiced afterwards.
SPECIAL SAUNA CONDITION (IMPORTANT)
12. Public Sauna Sessions and Seating
A customer who has purchased a single seat may not allow other persons into the sauna or otherwise circumvent the payment system.
Any transfer of a purchased seat to another person is permitted only if the Service Provider is notified in advance by email at info@appara.fi.
If the customer:
- allows unpaid persons into the sauna
- transfers or shares their purchased seat without prior notification to the Service Provider
- participates in payment circumvention
The Service Provider has the right to:
- immediately remove all persons involved from the sauna facilities
- charge a contractual penalty or supervision fee of EUR 250 per violation
- additionally charge the normal admission fee for all unpaid persons
In repeated or serious cases, the Service Provider has the right to deny the customer access to the sauna or other services offered by the Service Provider, either temporarily or permanently.
